PRESS NOTE

            The following is the list, in order of merit, of  25 candidates, 13 General (including 3 Other Backward Classes), 5 Other Backward Classes,   4 Scheduled Castes, and  3  Scheduled Tribes, who have been recommended by the Union Public Service Commission for appointment as Special Class Railway Apprentices’ in the Indian Railway Service of Mechanical Engineers on the result of the Special Class Railway Apprentices’ Examination held in  July, 2007.   The medical examination shall be conducted by the Ministry of Railway.  A communication for medical examination will be issued by the Ministry of Railways to the candidates individually within 21 days from the date of declaration of final result. The number of vacancies as intimated by the Railway Board is  25

 2.         UPSC has Facilitation counter at its campus.  Candidates may obtain any information /clarification regarding their examination/results on working days between 10.00 A.M. to 5.00 PM. in person or over Telephones Nos. 011-23381125 or 011-23385271 or 011-23098543 from this counter.

3.         Further, the marks-sheet in respect of recommended/not recommended candidates will be available on the Commission’s Website within two weeks from the declaration of the result.  The candidates can have access to the Website only after keying their  Roll No. and date of birth.

4.         In case any of the recommended/not recommended candidates is desirous of obtaining printed/hard copies of the marks-sheets of the above mentioned examination, he/she should forward his/her request to the Commission along with self-addressed stamped envelope within a period of thirty days from the date of publication of this Press Note.
