1. (Ref.No.F.1/67/2009-R-IV)One Surveyor General of India in Survey of India, Ministry of Science and Technology, Department of Science and Technology, Survey of India(Grp.A) Service of Persons appointed to the Service under Rules 7 & 8. Qualifications: Essential: A. Educational : Degree in Engineering or Master’s Degree in Mathematics / Physics / Geography / Geodesy of a recognized University or equivalent. B. Experience: Eighteen years’ experience in a Senior Administrative and managerial position in an Engineering organization or a Scientific Laboratory in the related field. Desirable : i) Research experience in Surveying Photogrammetry or Geodesy or allied subjects with evidence of published research work. ii) Knowledge of computer programming. iii) Knowledge of automation in Cartography. DUTIES : Surveyor General of India heads SOI and has the responsibility of ensuring the exploration of the country’s domain and suitable mapping, providing base map for expeditious & integrated development and their utilization to the progress, prosperity and security of the country, alongwith SOI’s support to Third World countries in survey, topography & survey education. HQ : Dehradun.

Engineering (Technical) in Delhi College of Engineering, Government of
National Capital Territory of Delhi. Out
of three posts, two posts are reserved for OBC candidates
and remaining one post is reserved for SC candidates.
Qualifications : Essential :
Educational : A- i) Ph.D Degree with first class degree at Bachelors or
Master’s level in Mechanical Engineering / Technology together from a
recognized University or equivalent. ii)
Three years’ experience in Teaching / Industry / Research at the level of
Lecturer or equivalent. OR
B- i) First class degree at
Master’s level in the Mechanical Engineering / Technology from a recognized
University or equivalent. ii) 5
years’ experience in teaching / industry / research at the level of Lecturer
or equivalent. Such candidates will
be required to obtain Ph.D Degree within a period of 7 years from the date of
appointment as Assistant Professor. OR
C- Candidates from Industry
/ Profession with first class Bachelor’s Degree in Mechanical Engineering /
Technology from a recognized University or equivalent and
professional work which is significant and can be recognized as
equivalent to Ph.D Degree and with 5 years Industrial / Professional experience
would also be eligible. NOTE
: If a Class / Division is not
awarded at B.E. / B.Tech., M.E./M.Tech. / Equivalent Degree, a minimum of 60%
marks in aggregate shall be considered equivalent to first Class/Division.
If a grade point system is adopted, CGPA will be converted to equivalent
marks and Minimum CGPA shall be 6.75 in the scale of 10.
DUTIES : To
perform all the academic activities including examination work in Mechanical
Engineering specially in the field related to Thermal Engineering / Production /
Design. To participate in R&D and research guidance,
consultancy/testing services, promotion of industry-institution-society
interaction, Curriculum/Resource Material/Laboratory development &
expansion, Co-curricular & Extra curricular Activities, Academic and
Administrative Management, Policy Planning, Monitoring & Evaluation and
Promotional activities, Promotion of entrepreneurship and job creation, helping
mobilization of resources for the institution, develop/update and maintain MIS,
Plan and implement staff Development activities. Any other relevant work
assigned by the Head of Institution. HQ
: Delhi College of Engineering, Bawana Road, Delhi /Any other place as decided
by the competent authority.

2. NATURE OF POST : The post at S.No.1 is permanent and belongs to Survey of India(Grp.A) Service of persons appointed to the service under rules 7 & 8. Posts at S.No.2 are permanent & belong to General Central Service.
3. PAY SCALE & CLASSIFICATION : (Figures in bracket at the
end of the pay scale indicate the approx total emoluments(per month) excluding CCA and HRA at the minimum of the scale).
a)Rs.22400-525-24500(Pre-revised Scale) Grp. ‘A’ for the post at S.No.1 above.
b)Rs.12000-420-18300 (T.E.Rs.26460)(Pre-revised Scale) Group ‘A’ Gazetted for the posts at S.No.2 above
4. AGE LIMIT AS ON NORMAL CLOSING DATE
a) Not exceeding 50 years for the post at S. No.1
b) Not exceeding 55 years for SC candidates in respect of vacancies reserved for them and not exceeding 53 years for OBC candidates in respect of vacancies reserved for them for the posts at S. No.2
N.B. The age limit shown against S.No.1 is normal age limit. The age limits shown against S.No.2 are relaxed age limits for SC & OBC candidates. AGE IS ALSO RELAXABLE FOR REGULARLY APPOINTED CENTRAL/UT GOVT SERVANTS UPTO FIVE YEARS AS PER THE INSTRUCTIONS ISSUED BY GOVT OF INDIA FROM TIME TO TIME.
