1.(Ref.No.F.1/233/2009-R-II) One Joint Director(Extension) in Directorate of Extension, Department of Agriculture & Co-operation, Ministry of Agriculture. Qualifications : Essential : A. Educational : M.Sc in Agriculture / Agricultural Extension/Any of the Agricultural Sciences from a recognized University or equivalent or Master’s Degree in Rural Management or MBA with a B.Sc(Agriculture)from a recognized Institute or equivalent. B. Experience : Eight years’ experience in a supervisory cadre or equivalent in the field of administration or Management of Agriculture or Extension Programme or Teaching experience at College or University level in Agricultural or Extension Programme with special reference to training of Extension Personnel and Farmers. Desirable : Familiarity with the formulation and conduct of Extension Management Programme. Duties : Planning, Programming and organization of short term and long term in service training courses in the selected crops and discipline for the SMSs and Senior Officers working in the re-organised Agricultural Extension set up. Organisation of Orientation-cum-Communication Courses/Workshops on TV Programme for subject matter specialists and other senior officers working in T&V States. To assist in formulation & execution of project proposals for assistance from the world Bank and other International Agencies in respect of equipment, foreign expertise and training of senior officers, SMSs and other extension functionaries working in T&V system. Participation and on the spot evaluation of the selected training programmes connected with the T&V system. To assist Director(Training) and Additional Commissioner(Extn.) for effective professional training activities –development of curriculum, methodology & other operational aspects. Reviewing annual training programme in T&V states and also assist World Bank Consultants in assessing T& V Programme in operation in the States. To provide assistance in the preparation of training manuals and other publicity materials for the use of SMSs and other extension functionaries working under the T&V programme. Any other item of work to be entrusted by Director(Trg.) /Additional Commissioner(Extension). HQ: Presently in Delhi but likely to serve anywhere in India and abroad.

2.(Ref.No.F.1/211/2009-R-VI)One Service Engineer(Mechanical) in Fishery Survey of India(Mumbai), Department of Animal Husbandry, Dairying and Fisheries, Ministry of Agriculture. The post is reserved for ST candidates. Qualifications : Essential : A. Educational : Degree in Mechanical/Marine Engineering of a recognized University or equivalent. B. Experience : Three years’ experience in maintenance, repairs and running of Marine Diesel Engines/Ship repairs and maintenance. Duties : The service Engineer(Mechanical) shall assist the Mechanical Marine Engineer/Head of the office of the Zonal Base of Fishery Survey of India or the Deputy Director General(Engg.) at the Headquarters in all the matter on engineering side. He shall be responsible for supervision of work in the departmental workshop and to carry out maintenance, running and dry-docking repairs of the vessels attached to the base. The store clerk/store keeper will work under him and he shall be responsible for the safe custody of stores, maintenance of proper Stock Registers/cardex etc. in regard to purchase and issue of stores. Wherever the Vessels are in the jetty, he shall visit the vessels daily and ascertain the repairs, if any and initiate action for carrying out the repairs as expeditiously as possible to avoid loss of fishing day. He shall supervise all repairs and maintenance jobs and satisfy himself that the work is carried out satisfactorily and certify the bills accordingly. He shall initiate procurement action in respect of stores and spare parts, lubricating oil, H.S.D. etc. required for the up-keep and maintenance of the fishing Vessels etc. well in advance. HQ : Anywhere in India including Andaman & Nicobar Islands. NOTE : Closing date for receipt of applications for Item No.2 is 12-01-2010. No extended closing date is allowed for this Item. The date for determining the eligibility of all candidates in every respect for Item No.2 shall be 12-01-2010.

3.(Ref.No.F.1/1/2009-R-II) One Plant Protection Officer (Entomology) in the Directorate of Plant Protection Quarantine & Storage, Department of Agriculture & Co-operation, Ministry of Agriculture. Qualifications : Essential : A. Educational : Master of Science degree in Entomology or Nematology or Master of Science degree in Agriculture with specialization in Entomology or Master of Science degree in Zoology with specialization in Entomology or Nematology from a recognized University or equivalent. B. Experience : Two years’ practical experience in Entomology related to Plant Protection. Desirable : Doctorate degree in Entomology or Agricultural Entomology from a recognized University/Institute or equivalent. Duties : To attend/undertake Phyto-sanitary certificate/treatment for exported/imported agricultural commodities including post-entry quarantine inspection. To undertake crop pests and natural enemies surveys and assist State Govt. in organizing pest management operations on Locust Control and Integrated Pest Management. To impart training cum demonstrations on latest Plant Protection methods for State Agricultural officials and farmers. Preparation of relevant technical literature/reports and any other duty assigned by the senior officers.

4.(Ref.No.F.1/232/2009-R-VI) Four Deputy Architects, Department of Telecommunications, Ministry of Communication and Information Technology. Post and Telegraph Building Works Service. Out of four posts, one post each is reserved for SC & OBC candidates. Qualifications : Essential : Educational : i) Bachelor’s Degree in Architecture or equivalent professional qualification of a recognized University or Institution; and ii) Be registered as Architect with the Council of Architecture under the Architects Act 1972. NOTE : A candidate who possesses a degree from a foreign University which is not recognized by Government may also apply provided he is registered as Architect with Council of Architecture under the Architects Act,1972. Duties : To prepare preliminary/working drawing. To supervise and guide the Architectural Assistant and is responsible for the management & efficient functioning of the staff attached to him/her. To assist in obtaining approval of plans from local bodies. Inspection of works wherever required.

5.(Ref.No.F.1/156/2009-R-II) Thirteen Junior Works Managers(Chemical) in Ordnance Factory Board, Department of Defence Production, Ministry of Defence. Civilian in Defence Services. Out of thirteen posts, two posts are reserved for SC candidates and the remaining eleven posts are reserved for OBC candidates. Qualifications : Essential : Educational : M.Sc in Chemistry or Degree in Chemical Engineering/Technology or equivalent from a recognized University. Duties : The work is of Technical & Supervisory nature where the Officer is responsible for the out-put and working of a group of Industrial, Non-Industrial & non-gazetted employees posted under him, as per targets given by the organization and reports to a Group –A Officers. HQ : At O.F. Board, Ordnance Factories & Other units under OFB organization in different parts of the country.

6.(Ref.No.F.1/218/2009-R-III) One Lecturer in Russian Language in National Defence Academy, Khadakwasla, Pune, Ministry of Defence. The post is also suitable for Orthopaedically Handicapped/Locomotor disability/ Cerebral Palsy with One Arm/One Leg affected persons. Qualifications : Essential : Educational : i) Fifty five percent marks and above or an equivalent grade of B in the 7 point scale with letter grades O,A,B,C,D,E and F at the Master’s Degree in the Russian Language from an Indian University or an equivalent Degree from a Foreign University. ii) Should have cleared National Eligibility Test (NET) for Lecturers conducted by the University Grants Commission, Council for Scientific and Industrial Research or similar test accredited by the University Grants Commission. NOTE - The candidates who have been awarded Doctorate of Philosophy or passed the Master of Philosophy Examination in the concerned subject are exempted from the requirement of Educational Qualification(ii) above. Desirable : i) Experience in National Cadet Corps or Scouting or games or cultural activities. ii) Proficiency in English in the specified subject shall be essential. Duties : In addition to primary duty of teaching, a Lecturer will assist in all aspects of training of cadets. He/She will perform all administrative duties as assigned by higher authorities and participate in academic/social events. HQ : NDA, Khadakwasla, Pune.

7.(Ref.No.F.1/217/2009-R-III) One Lecturer in Physics in National Defence Academy, Khadakwasla, Pune, Ministry of Defence. The post is reserved for OBC candidates. The post is also suitable for Orthopaedically Handicapped/Locomotor disability/Cerebral Palsy with one Arm/One Leg affected persons. 11.(Ref.No.F.1/208/2009-R-II) Five Senior Mining Geologists in Indian Bureau of Mines under Ministry of Mines. Out of five posts, two posts are reserved for OBC candidates. Qualifications: Essential : A. Educational : Master’s degree in Geology or Applied Geology from a recognized University or equivalent. B. Experience: Five years’ experience in different aspects of prospecting for Economic minerals and surveying. Desirable : i) Doctorate Degree in Geology or Applied Geology from a recognized University or equivalent. ii) Experience in different aspects of prospecting for economic minerals and surveying and iii) working knowledge of computers with special emphasis on commonly used Software in office. Duties : Conducting Integrated Geological Studies for appraisal of mineral deposits and also to undertake MCDR inspection of miners in any part of the country and abroad. Conducting techno-economic feasibility studies and scrutiny of Mining Plan/Mining Scheme and examination of stopping proposals, and environmental studies. Periodic updation of National Mineral Inventory of leasehold areas. Guiding and supervising the work of such officers who are placed under him. Carrying out such other duties as may be assigned to him by the Controller General or any other officer authorized by him.

12.(Ref.No.F.1/231/2009-R-VI)Five Assistant Controllers of Mines in Indian Bureau of Mines, Ministry of Mines. Qualifications: Essential : A. Educational : Degree in Mining Engineering from a recognized University or equivalent. B. Experience : Three years’ experience in a supervisory capacity in metalliferous mines or a Government Department dealing with mines. Desirable : i) Post-Graduate degree in Mining Engineering from a recognized University or equivalent. ii) Working knowledge of computers with special emphasis on commonly used software in offices. Duties : Inspection of Mines for systematic development, conservation of minerals and protection of Mines environment under the Mines and Minerals(Development and Regulation) Act, 1957 and rules made thereunder. To prefer court complaints for violations of Mines and Minerals(Development and Regulation) Act and rules made thereunder. To advise the mine owners on the adoption of appropriate technology for prospecting and mining. Utilization of low grade minerals and rejects, protection of environment in mining areas, beneficiation of minerals. To monitor the mining activities in accordance with the approved mining plan/scheme of mining. Technical data processing and retrieval as and when required. Any other duties that may be assigned by the superior officers.

13.(Ref.No.F.1/189/2009-R-I) One Professor(Paediatrics) in Government Medical College & Hospital, Chandigarh, Department of Medical Education & Research, Chandigarh Administration. Qualifications : Essential : A. Educational : i) A basic University or equivalent qualification included in any one of the Schedules to the Indian Medical Council Act, 1956(102 of 1956) and must be registered in a State Medial Register or Indian Medical Register. ii) M.D. (Paediatrics) from a recognized University / Institution or equivalent. B. Experience: Ten years’ experience in the profession after acquiring post-graduate qualification, out of which four year’s should be as Reader/Associate Professor in a recognized Medical College/Teaching Institution. NOTE: I: The Medical qualifications possessed by the candidates should have the recognition of the Medical Council of India. In case of medical posts other than Allopathic system of medicine, the qualifications should be included in the respective Schedule of the Act governing that system of medicine. The proof thereof may be attached. NOTE: II: In so far as Post-Graduation Medical qualifications awarded by Indian Universities are concerned, they should also find a place in the Schedules to Indian Medical Council Act, 1956, as amended from time to time. In case of medical posts other than allopathic system of medicine, the qualifications should be included in the respective Schedule of the Act governing that system of medicine. The proof thereof may be attached. NOTE : III : The experience gained should be recognized by the MCI or the statutory body concerned of the system of medicine as valid teaching experience for teaching posts and certificate therefor or any other valid proof in support thereof should be submitted. Teaching experience in any other post like the post of General Duty Medial Officer/Medical Officer shall not be considered for eligibility purpose for recruitment to the teaching posts. NOTE : IV : Completion of compulsory Rotating Internship Certificate, Registration Certificate, an official document showing name of College/Institution from where degree/diploma has been done and official document showing name of the University and College from where teaching experience has been gained to be furnished. Desirable : Minimum four Research Publications indexed in Index Medicus/National Journals and one Research publication in International Journals. Duties : The Professor(Paediatrics) will be designated as Head of the Department and his duties will be to teach the under-graduate (MBBS) and Post-graduate students, training of interns, paramedical staff and research work. HQ : The officer so selected will be required to serve in Govt. Medical College & Hospital, Chandigarh. ii) He shall be liable to serve in any of the Rural Health Centres of the Chandigarh Administration, if so required. ANY OTHER CONDITIONS : i) The candidate so appointed shall have to join his/her duties within one month from the date of issue of appointment letter. ii) Private practice of any kind, including laboratory and consultant practice, will be strictly prohibited. iii) The candidate so appointed in the institute shall not be allowed to apply for the post for employment outside the Administration for a period of two years from the date of joining the post.

14.(Ref.No.F.1/160/2009-R-I) One Senior Lecturer(Orthopaedics) in Government Medical College & Hospital, Chandigarh Administration, Department of Medical Education and Research Chandigarh. Qualifications : Essential : A. Educational : i) A basic University or equivalent qualification included in any one of the Schedules to the Indian Medical Council Act, 1956(102 of 1956) and must be registered in a State Medial Register or Indian Medical Register. ii) M.S. (Orthopaedics) from a recognized University / Institution or equivalent. B. Experience: Three years’ teaching experience in the concerned speciality after acquiring post-graduate qualification as Lecturer/Registrar/Senior Resident/Demonstrator/Tutor in a recognized Medical College/Teaching Institution. NOTE : I TO IV : Same as in Item No.13 above. Duties : The duties of Senior Lecturer(Orthopaedics) will be to teach the undergraduate (MBBS) and Post-graduate students, training of interns, paramedical staff and research work. HQ : i) Govt. Medical College & Hospital, Chandigarh. ii) He shall be liable to serve in any of the Rural/Urban Health Centres of the Chandigarh Administration. ANY OTHER CONDITIONS : Same as in Item No.13 above.

15.(Ref.No.F.1/198/2009-R-VI) One Assistant Architect, Department of Urban Planning, Chandigarh Administration. The post is also suitable for Physically Handicapped persons with disability of Orthopaedically Handicapped(One Leg or Both Legs affected). Qualifications : Essential : A. Educational : i) Degree in Architecture or an equivalent Diploma from a recognized University/Institution or equivalent. ii) Should be registered with the Council of Architecture. B. Experience : Two years’ experience under a Registered Architect. Duties : The Assistant Architect is the next officer who assists the Architect in the preparation of working drawings and details drawings. He is responsible for proper upkeep and handing of the drawings in the record of his group. He submits monthly progress report of the work done by his group of the Architect for further action. 16.(Ref.No.F.1/96/2009-R-I) Ten Medical Officers(Ayurveda), Directorate of Indian System of Medicine & Homoeopathy, Govt. of NCT of Delhi. General Duty Medical Officers of Indian System of Medicine of Delhi Health Service. Out of ten posts, one post is reserved for SC candidates, Three posts are reserved for OBC candidates. The posts are also suitable for Orthopaedically Handicapped persons with Locomotor Disability of Both/One leg affected. Qualifications : Essential : Educational : i) A Degree in Ayurveda of a recognized University or a Statutory State Board/Council or equivalent, recognized under the Indian Medicine Central Council Act, 1970(48 of 1970). ii) Enrolment in State Register/Central Register of Ayurveda. 17.(Ref.No.F.1/171/2009-R-VI) Six Executive Engineers/Surveyors of works (Civil) in Irrigation and Flood Control Department, Govt. of NCT of Delhi. The posts are also suitable for Physically Handicapped persons with disability of Orthopaedically Handicapped one Arm affected. Qualifications: Essential: A. Educational: Degree in Civil Engineering from a recognized University or equivalent. B. Experience: Seven years’ professional experience in a supervisory capacity. Duties : Execution of works in division, D.D.O as well as Head of Office for staff working under him, procurement of men, material and machinery, management of work of organization and supervision of work, preparation and transmission to competent authority, the preliminary estimates/schemes for issue of administrative approval and expenditure sanction.
